The Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana recognizes the centrality of the Eucharist in the life of the Church. Therefore, it wholeheartedly supports the vision and goals of the National Eucharistic Revival. We fully intend to engage our pastorates and people as we explore the Eucharist in greater depths. We also recognize that the daily work of the Church across the diocese continues, even as we take more time to reflect on the Eucharist.
As we have developed plans for the diocesan phase of the revival, we have sought to balance the importance of the Eucharistic Revival with the need to continue with our day-to-day ministries. Inconsideration of this, we have taken a dual track approach to the Eucharistic Revival events for diocesan phase (June 19, 2022 - June 11, 2023). We intend to advance the goals of increased understanding of and devotion to the Eucharist through a mix of general and major events. The general events are diocesan wide events that are a part of our ongoing yearly theological and spiritual initiatives or events. The major offerings are unique, stand-alone events intentionally designed for the Eucharist revival. These events are intended to reach a variety of groups within the diocese. Registration links for all events will be available once registration opens.
